Practice Nurses Michelle and Christine run this clinic every Tuesday morning between 09:00am -12:00pm
Contraception Clinic
If you are considering contraception, you must make an appointment with the practice nurse to assess the options available. After this you will be seen for check ups for the contraceptive pill and also for the depo injection. We also offer appointments for the implant, both removal and insertion.
NHS Health checks
This health check is available to patients between the age of 40 and 74 and can be made with one of our Trainee Nurse Associates. This will include bloods, blood pressure, height and weight and personal health questions.
Antenatal & Postnatal clinics
Antenatal clinics are held weekly by the midwife every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. Postnatal checks are carried out by the doctors at 8 weeks.
COPD/Asthma
COPD/Asthma patients are usually called in yearly for a review with the Practice Nurses Michelle & Christine.
Cervical Smears
Practice Nurse Michelle Hedley is the Lead clinician for Cervical Screening. Current guidelines are for women between the ages of 25 and 49 to be screening every three years and women between the ages of 50 and 64 to be screened every 5 years.
Long Term Conditions
For patients who suffer from a chronic disease, we will either contact you by telephone or letter to make an appointment with either the doctor or the practice nurse. We will call for you either 6 monthly or yearly depending on the condition that you have.
Medicals
All of our doctors do medicals, e.g. taxi and HGV medicals. This appointment should usually take about an hour to complete and are available in a specialist monthly clinic . Please book in advance and note there will be a charge for this service.
