Prior to travelling please allow as much time as possible to arrange your appointment at the surgery ( at least 6 weeks or more), which will be with the Practice Nurse. You will need to first go online at Fit for Travel<\/a> to obtain which vaccines you require, then contact the surgery to book your appointment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible, as vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. Your appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge.This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
